DAY 23 - INSPIRED BY A MOVIE
hhhhuuuuuhhhhh…..IDIOT! So, these should be pretty self-explanatory. My ‘Vote for Pedro’ nails from Napoleon Dynamite. One of my all-time favs.
Used L.A. Colors Wired as the base color and Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Silver.
DAY 20 - WATER MARBLED
The first thing I want to apologize for the extremely messy condition of the mani - once again I had a horrible time with the application :-( and so didn’t really bother to clean up too well, cause they were coming right off, even though I do like the color combo/design. Second, this should have been completed several days ago, but at that time I was having an even WORSE time with the application and decided to skip until I had the time to come back…so here it is…
I used Shades of the Seasons (I’ve found they have a great consistency for the water marbling) in Black and hot Pink. Now, the pink turned kinda purple, probably because I cheated and just did it over the blue that was already on my nails ;-)
DAY 22 - INSPIRED BY A SONG
So, the song I chose was Penny on the Floor by The Clarks
Index and Ring finger: light/pale blue from the Shades of the Season collection, Ring finger clouds were done with a mix of the white and gray from the collection. The red heart was done with Sally Hansen Red Carpet.
Middle finger: White from Shades of the Season, with “tracks” in L.A. Colors black
Thumb and Pinky: this is the interesting one…the pictures do not do this color justice…in real life it is a much lighter coppery (penny) color
I was running short on time (and talent, lol) or I would have actually tried to do a penny design on the thumb and pinky :-(

DAY 21 - INSPIRED BY A COLOR
I’ve really been in love with OPI’s Suzi Says Feng Shui for awhile and so that’s the color I chose to be ‘inspired’ by. (I say that lightly because so much crap has been going on, sometimes its hard to roll out of bed, let alone be inspired…but just like the weather, shitz gettin’ better:)
Also, for this one, you’ll noticed I took inspiration from the fabulous Nailside, and did a tape mani…I turned out alright, there was some bleed-through, but that’s my fault for hurrying :-(
Base color was Shades of the Seasons Light/Pale Blue and design was completed with OPI’s SSFS

DAY 20 - WATER MARBLE
OH.MY.FREAKIN.GOODNESS.
The first time that I did water marbling, it turned out awesome! I’m not sure if the stars and planets were aligned just right, or whatever… this time however, I have had the most awful time, which sucks, cause I do love these type of nails. I’ve had every problem from the polish being the wrong consistency, to when I did get a nail to turn out right, I’d bump it and completely eff it up!!! aaahhhh!!! So, for now, I’m flipping days, cause I’ve really no more time right now. On to Inspiration! (then back)
DAY 19 - GALAXY NAILS
meh…not sure how I feel about these yet. This was my first attempt at galaxy nails. I definitely liked them better before I added the white dot ‘stars’…
So, here’s how I did ‘em up:
Base Color of Shades of the Season Black, then using a ripped off piece of make-up sponge used (in this order) Shades of the Season White, China Glaze Grape Juice, Mary-Kate and Ashley Duotone in Duo Blue (whatever..I’ve had it for years…before I even knew how cool duotone polish is…), L.A. Colors Wired (blue). Now, I wasn’t going to add a glitter polish, but after I messed them up (in my opinion) by adding the ‘stars’, I went ahead and added Ulta’s Starstruck (apropo if you ask me). Probably the best decision I made on these. I’ll probably try these again sometime, making adjustments…

DAY - 18 HALF MOONS
So, first the colors didn’t show very true in the picture. The color on my ring finger looks orange, however in real life its more of a pinky coral. It’s L.A. Colors Magnetic Force. The blue, L.A. Colors Sea Siren, is more teal than it looks. The moons and my pinky were done with Sephora by OPI Bring on the Snowflakes.
This was actually my first time doing half moons, but I really like them and will probably come back to these once this challenge is over.
DAY - 17 GLITTER
I’m definitely not a huge fan of glitter, so I really just skimped on these. Both the green and orange are from L.A. Colors and are very sheer so I did a basecoat of white first with like 5 coats of color… Uuuuggghh… I really like the orange though. Incidentally I found that it glows under blacklight last night :-) The glitter is from L.A. Colors as well, and is a mix of blue and purple. The picture quality is crappy cause I snapped it quickly as I was running out the door late for work.

DAY 15 - DELICATE PRINT
for today’s challenge I did a nice plaid print that actually matches the top I’m wearing.
Base color is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Ivy League and the plaid pattern was done with white, black, and neon green stripers.
